Regular club rides
Regular club rides take place every Saturday. We meet at Loch Fyne (Windsor Rd, Ascot, Windsor, Berkshire SL4 2DE) ready for an 8am roll out. Members present will decide the route, speeds and groups on the day. The average distance is 45/50 miles with a coffee stop on route and beers & chips on our return. Average speed 16mph+.
Club members further afield also hold their own weekend rides and all start points and ride options are communicated to members via a weekly email and on Facebook.
On Sundays, we host our ‘Sunday Social’ rides, again meeting at Loch ready for a 9am roll out. These rides are slower (@15mph+) and shorter (@30miles), to encourage new and younger riders to get out on their bikes and enjoy the Ripcor experience. Obviously, they still include coffee & cake on route and beer & chips at the end.
Mountain bike rides
Occasionally, usually in the Winter months, a hardy bunch of Ripcor MTBers can be found in Bracknell Forest riding the mountain bike trails. Again if you would like to take part we encourage you to be ready to ride at 8am. Please like us on Facebook for regular ride updates.
Ripcor Invitational’s
A kind of ‘Member’s excuse me’ – if you have a great route and want the team to come to you, let us know the details well in advance and we will put it in the calendar and endeavour to bring the Ripcor peloton to your door. All we ask is that there is a coffee stop half way round… (chips at the end would be a bonus too). Again keep an eye on our Facebook page for all upcoming events.
Mid-week training
Wednesday training rides take place weekly in the Summer months, leaving Loch Fyne at 7.15pm for a one hour chain gang thrash through the lanes. 1 hour, 20 miles. Once you’re off the back you’re on your own!
Ripcor Time Trials
Twice a year we hold a time trial event round the familiar Fifield course. Through the summer months you will find a few riders joining the Middlesex Summer TT events which take place midweek on the Shurlock Row course. Click here to see more details of the courses.
